8 (two-hour) ZOOM meetings on a weekday night or a Saturday. Each class designates the day it will be held and it will be that day/time for all 8 sessions. ( 16 hours of Synchronous Work - done as a group at the same time); Independent work (reading & pre-work found in your syllabus); Course Connect - Our LMS where you have independent assignments done online at your own pace, but that have deadlines. (4 hours of Asynchronous work-not done as a group at the same time)

Syllabus
This class meets on Monday evenings.
This course introduces the student to theological reflection in the Wesleyan tradition.
Basic terms, tasks, and methods of Christian theology will be introduced. Representative classical themes
will be defined and illustrated. The course provides a foundation for further historical and theological study.

This class meets on Tuesday evenings, January 21 & 28, February 4, 11, & 18, and March 4,
with the final class being on Thursday March 6 .
This course focuses on the pastor’s formation and competency in the role of pastoral administrator,
with the goal of achieving a unity of doing and being. Emphasis is given to the development
of administrative skills in keeping with the theology and polity of The United Methodist Church.

This course is an introductory survey of Christian history and thought during the period of the Protestant
Reformation in 16th century Europe and Great Britain. Focal themes are the concepts
of faith, grace, and justification, with further attention to significant individuals and their contexts.
