All students will be given access to the Digital Theological Library free of charge,
after they complete registration. Many of your books can be found there
and it will be a way to save a significant amount of money.
January 15 - March 4, 2024
8 (two-hour) ZOOM meetings on a weekday night or a Saturday. Each class designates the day it will be held and it will be that day/time for all 8 sessions. ( 16 hours of Synchronous Work - done as a group at the same time); Independent work (reading & pre-work found in your syllabus); Course Connect - Our LMS where you have independent assignments done online at your own pace, but that have deadlines. (4 hours of Asynchronous work-not done as a group at the same time)

lines up with your personal schedule. All classes must be attended.

COS 122: Theological Heritage I: Introduction
As a student of this class, you will have digital access to all required readings at no charge.

This class meets on Monday evenings.
This course introduces the student to theological reflection in the Wesleyan tradition.
Basic terms, tasks, and methods of Christian theology will be introduced. Representative classical themes
will be defined and illustrated. The course provides a foundation for further historical and theological study.

This class meets on Monday evenings.
This course focuses on the pastor’s formation and competency in the role of pastoral administrator,
with the goal of achieving a unity of doing and being. Emphasis is given to the development
of administrative skills in keeping with the theology and polity of The United Methodist Church.
COS 322: Theological Heritage III: Medieval/Reformation

This course is an introductory survey of Christian history and thought during the period of the Protestant
Reformation in 16th century Europe and Great Britain. Focal themes are the concepts
of faith, grace, and justification, with further attention to significant individuals and their contexts.

This course offers an introduction to Christian ethics and moral decision-making
with a particular emphasis upon pastoral and congregational responsibility for ethical decisions.
