Our Approach to Lifelong Learning

The Center for Ministry affirms lifelong learning as a sign of faithfulness and a pathway toward excellence for lay persons and clergy. Our goal is to create educational environments that are challenging, creative, and worshipful; build community among participants; and lead to personal and congregational transformation.
The Continuing Education Guidelines for clergy of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church are based on "Standards and Guidelines for Use of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Church Systems" provided by The Association of Leaders in Lifelong Learning for Ministry.    The Center for Ministry is a member of "ALLLM"-- an ecumenical organization that promotes and supports continuing education for ministry.

Visit the Continuing Education pages on the United Methodist Church's General Board of Higher Education and Ministry web site to learn more about continuing education guidelines for UMC clergy.
