About the Retreat... Join us for a time to nurture our creative and spiritual selves, a time of renewal and rest. We want to age well physically, of course, but we also yearn to tap into our creative capacities and develop spiritual practices to sustain us as we grow old. Aging brings nagging concerns; it offers surprising gifts as well. We’ll acknowledge and honor both as we develop road maps for our next season. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to this time apart—so that we might be fully present to ourselves, to our gifts and talents, and to God. Facilitated by Amy Lyles Wilson and Becky Youngblood Native Mississippians Amy Lyles and Becky are experienced retreat leaders who work at the intersection of spirituality and creativity. They believe it is in coming together that we best celebrate our individuality. They also affirm that both creativity and spirituality are expressed in many ways and that everyone can access these riches. The Center' s Approach to Retreats The Center for Ministry offers periodic spiritual formation retreats in several formats and for several audiences. Some are prayer retreats shaped around particular spiritual disciplines. Some are silent retreats intended to help us clear away the noise and clutter of daily life and listen to God. Many of the spiritual formation opportunities featured here are designed to sustain and nourish a community devoted to spiritual practice, and include spiritual disciplines, worship, the arts, teaching, and time for rest and care of the soul. Our staff and volunteers will also gladly work with you to design a unique retreat for your group or congregation. Contact our office to schedule a consultation.
