1. Overview: The Center for Ministry (CFM) is a shared work of the Mississippi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and Millsaps College. Its mission is to foster leadership for effective ministry in the Church, College, and Community. The CFM seeks to fulfill its mission by supporting the work of the Church and College in the life-long formation of leaders, and by developing its own unique programs to broaden knowledge, deepen faith, and sharpen skills for ministry. The CFM is ecumenical in scope. The CFM's programs include: the Mississippi Course of Study (MSCOS), the Pastoral Excellence Project (PEP), and Journey Partners. This Privacy Policy addresses the collection, use, and disclosure of personally identifiable information about persons or entities that use the CFM, the MSCOS, the PEP, or the Journey Partners websites.
2. Information That We Collect: Personal information of users is collected for programs of the CFM. Such information includes contact information (name, telephone, address, etc.), as well as information regarding your preferences for particular events and programs (i.e, workshop selections, accomodation preferences, etc.). The CFM also collects information thru its Pastoral Excellence Project (PEP) that allows it to evaluate applications for grants.
The CFM does not collect financial information from its users online. Online registration fees are handled through a third party site. Check third party sites for their privacy policies.
The CFM also collects information about how its users interact with its web sites. This information includes web user statistics and is not personally identifiable. Such information is used to help improve the content and effectiveness of the sites.
3. Our Use Of Your Information: We use personally identifiable information about you to facilitate the services that you request. If you choose to participate in a program of the CFM, we use your information to register, bill, and contact you. We also use your information to contact you about future events you may be interested in. If you do not wish to be included on our mailing list, you may have your name removed by contacting us at 601.974.1488.
The MSCOS offers an online directory for its participants that includes name and contact information. This directory is intended as a service for participants to more easily contact one another. If you do not want your personally identifable information to be included in the online directory, you may have your name removed by contacting us at 601.974.1488.
You agree that we may use the information that we have about you to improve our marketing and promotional activities, to analyze site activity, improve our offerings, aid in supporting you in using our service, and customize our site's content and services.
