Welcome to our Retreats page! The Center for Ministry offers periodic spiritual formation retreats in several formats. Some are prayer retreats shaped around particular spiritual disciplines. Some are silent retreats intended to help us clear away the noise and clutter of daily life and listen to God. Some are teaching retreats designed to enrich leadership in congregations and other settings. Make space for quiet reflection, sabbath rest, and attention to God's voice.

Six Days throughout the Year for Rest and Prayer
Space for Solitude within Community
At The Gray Center (near Canton, MS)

Cost: $20
Do you long for time and space for prayer and for the support and consolation of a community devoted to prayer? Join us on any of the days listed below for a day of quiet and retreat. The only requirements are an openness to God and a willingness to claim the time.
In Mark 6, Jesus invites the disciples to “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.” Each “Day Apart” echoes this rhythm of prayer, reflection, and solitude. After an initial gathering for worship and orientation, you may rest and reflect in solitude, walk in nature or on the labyrinth. At other points in the day, the leader will guide spiritual disciplines or offer exercises in creative expression, then end the retreat with prayers of blessing and sending forth. The periods of gathering between opening and closing prayers are optional. You may choose to spend that entire time in solitude.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. Bring your own lunch or you may choose to engage in the discipline of fasting for the day.
